Lebenslängliche Atempause, 1997

Author: Günter Brus

Charcoal, pastel and ink on paper.

The artist starts from an analytical perspective on the feeling in key cruelty, and he wants to catch, within the territory of awareness, attitudes that populate the negative moments that beset modern man. His paintings, being too human, end up being inhumane. They have the form of nightmares and reflect the perverse side of the individual.
