The work is a project of Jorge Macchi and Edgardo Rudnitzky and revolves around whispering windows, a device that converts the surface of a glass panel into an amplifier. They first thought of creating a structure with four layers of glass with white dots projected on them and producing a sound whenever they appeared. You could hear the piece and physically perceive the space. The next step was to project white letters on the crystals and create a text that could be read on four levels.

The work is based on the “Good Bye” poem by Idea Vilariño, whose words, when projected onto the glass surface, generate sounds, speaking to the viewer.

Rudnitzky advised using female voices. They do not sing the poem but the sound of the lyrics every time they appear. The letters appear and disappear playing with the idea of erasing the text.
