She was a painter, writer, sculptor, and art critic and one of the pioneers in using art supported by new technologies and a precursor of conceptual art. She studied at various universities: the Complutense in Madrid, forming part of the Calculation Center coinciding with other young artists interested in generating plastic forms by computers (such as José María Yturralde or José Luis Alexanco), at the University of New York, at the University of Stuttgart there he studied the foundations of semiotics, as well as at the School of Fine Arts in Paris or the University of Colombia.
She received numerous awards such as the Zeitschrift für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe (Germany) (1988), the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (2006), the National Prize for Plastic Arts (2011) or the Art and Patronage award. in the Artist category (2012), the Zeitschrift für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe (Germany) (1988).
Throughout her artistic life she had more than 40 individual exhibitions not only in Spain but also in Germany, France, and the United States.
She lived for many years in Azpíroz (Navarra) in a house that she herself rehabilitated and where she did most of her work. Upon her death, she left the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía as heir with more than a thousand of her works.
