The photographs that appear in the daily press are covered by her own copy in paint. Although she tries to conserve the details of each one, in the painting process much of the information is lost or modified. The texts that accompany these images are maintained as they were printed. However, once the photograph has been modified by the paint, something doesn’t ring quite as true in the dissemination of the information.
