“I followed strangers on the street. Just for the fun of it. In late January 1980, I started to follow a man on the streets of Paris but he disappeared into the crowd a few minutes later. That very evening, quite by chance, he was introduced to me at an opening. During our conversation, he told me he was planning an imminent trip to Venice. So I decided to follow him. This is my confession.”
